About

My passion for woodworking began at the age of 12 after helping my father build a set of bunk beds. I knew then that this is what I wanted to do forever. In high school I attended a technical trade school, which gave me a strong foundation in design, joinery and finish techniques.   In 1979 my family and I moved to the scenic foothills of the Northern Sierra mountains to set up my woodworking studio. Through the years I have experienced many different aspects of woodworking from cabinets, entry doors, mantles, stairs, and finish work.   One of my specialties is creating custom furniture such as dining room tables, chairs, and hutches.  My ability to connect with clients enables me to design unique pieces of furniture by using their imagination, style and magazine clippings and then blending the various aspects together. I then hand draw a picture making sure all the details are captured. Through this process each piece must look beautiful and function to maximize each clients specifications.   My goal is that the furniture I create today will become a generational treasure.
